Never Ending Bloooogpoooost

Hey guys, I'm finally back! Whoah! What a rush!

But anyway, I have been relatively busy while I was gone.

Relatively so. Not very, just relatively. And now I am back at school... yay... :(

But lets just jump right into it.

So first up, in a moment of pure genius, even if I say so myself, I decided it was time that I made and painted a few officers.

This first one is made from Warlords Swedish Infantry box, and it turned out a lot better than I though. I decided to go for a brighter yellow, rather than my usual dull but warm brownish yellow. Still not sure whether I prefer it or not.

The second officer and drummer are made from Warlords Dragoons command. I wasn't going to use the miniatures for anything else, so I decided I may as well paint them up and make them useful, instead of sending them off to llama to get melted down!

Also, as a new development, I have retired the old Almänne, and replaced them with the new and improved Almänne, armed with muskets. Just seemed more right considering the time period.

Moving on, I finished another two Ottemarke pikemen, which I had been struggling on for some while. Still need to do another four chaps though, which I am for some reason, not looking forward.

Then, seeing this is a fantastical representation of Europe during the 1700s, I decided to just finish off Balin, from the Hobbit. I am currently using him as a dwarven merchant, you know, to herd pigs, or carry beer around the place...

Then, in a bout of inspiration I began working on some Paelkii shotte, which I quite like, but are quite annoying to paint for some strange reason. Its probably just me... hehe.

And now, my dear friends, Romans, countrymen... We finally get on to the good stuff!

So while I was moving in to this newly renovated house of mine, I was forced to thoroughly sort out all my "shit". All the crappy high elves from when I was seven and such, as well as stuff I am unlikely to use -- assault on black reach orks for example.

But anyway, while I was busy sorting through everything, throwing stuff away and deciding what to sell, I came across a treasure! Yes indeed. A whole herd of pink pigs!

These fine chaps, I do believe where my mothers, when she was just a wee small gurlie. And so, being the industrious, forward thinking and entrepreneurial young lad that I am, I decided to recruit them for the cause -- the cause being a herd of pigs to be stolen by rabid Paelskii raiders somewhere in the grim darkness of the far future...

So I ended up painting these horribly pink pigs pink all over again, and basing them up, ready to be stolen.

They look like fleshy death himself, but that's ok, because... actually no! That is unacceptable! I want my lawyer! Who the hell painted these pigs! I'm going to sue them...

But anyway, to conclude the pictures, I came across these boxes? Yes I think they are boxes... Crates perhaps? Never mind, because they work perfectly as ammunition or food containers or other such wonderful objectives for fantasy 16th century European warfare!

And lastly, I apologize for the decided lack of posts over the last few days... uh, week, but life had truly gone down the drain in its glorious entirety!

But I am back, and hopefully, I can get back into the rhythm of things!
