Freedom!

Erik, being captured by the opposition, was, naturally, in a tight spot.

Luckily for him though, he was owed a debt by the beastman, Pestulent Retch. So, it was not long before Erik could hear the sinister squeaking of the Mouseling nearby. Soon after, Pestulent arrived with a small horde of plague zombies as well as three sickly skaven. They were planning to distract the garrison while the Mouseling nibbled through Erik's bonds.

  

However Erik was not unguarded. John watched balefully over him (probably imagining all the heresies he could try the Chaos Champion for).

The assault began and Donald happily slaughtered two of the skaven.

After finishing the skaven off, the ogre dawdled off to engage the hordes of skaven while Frank engaged Pestulent.

Frank was so close to finishing off the beastman when he rolled snake-eyes.

The zombies began falling fast to Donald's axe, although he did take a bite wound back in return.

Sadly, the Mouseling was found out, and fled to save his wormy little tale. Donald killed off the rest of the zombies and Pestulent began to flee when he was also cut down by Frank.

So, Erik's friends failed to rescue him. We will have to see whether there will be any other opportunities for Erik to escape.
