On Old Projects and More Orcs

Hello dear people who might or might not be reading this. I have done more of what this blog is all about which is changing plans and thoughts and being generally inconsistent and hobby.

So what has changed. There are not. Repeat. NOT half orcs any longer... they are common-or-garden-or-mordor orcs OR they are from Dol Guldur. I don't know. Anyway, the chappie on the right has had a face lift expansion thingy and the middle right one has got armour and the middle left one is not worked on at all in GS and the one on the left has got a face job. Whew!

And here is the dilemma. Should I give them shields? I have presticked? on this shield to see whether it fits nicely and I am not sure. I am calling on the judgment of anyone reading on this momentous... thing. Please help me with this decision. I am torn in two.

And last of all just to stick with the theme of inconsistency, here is an earth elemental for KoW that I made a while ago. For anyone who is interested. Very enjoyable project.

Sadly I didn't get very far.

Anywho? If anyone can help with the shield dilemma I would appreciate.

END.

  1. Is that an offical KoW-model? It looks nice.

Also, give them 50/50 shields... at least that what's I do, then you can claim them to have either of!

  2. Hah!, good idea. Thanks. And the earth elemental is home made. Wire framework then greenstuff and small pieces of slate stuck on with copious amounts of superglue!

    1. Hehe, the best kind of model then - homemade.

It looked a bit Kings of War-y... which I am saying as a bit of a praise. I got a lot of Mantic's undead models... if it weren't for the weak Crown of Sweden (SEK) I'd get me some of their Panther Riders and some of their monsters...

  3. Personally, I like the shields - adds a bit of rustic colour to them. But does add lots more work!

  4. Hmm, yes. I am still unsure. As for work it does add a bit on but I am trying desperately to do two things with these guys which is practice sculpting and maybe freehand. So it will help me maybe improve a tad. Thinking of doing a slight readjustment to it.
